Anti-gravity yoga uses super strong hammocks to sustain your balance and increase blood flow and movement throughout the body. Created by Christopher Harrison, it’s famous for relieving compressed joints and aligning the body (apparently it makes you grow taller!)
Originally used for acrobatics, yoga and physical fitness are now incorporated by using the hammock as a tool! By creating tension and folds, we achieved numerous positions and flips which increased blood flow through our bodies. Also, the inclined nature of  hammock makes working out much more strenuous, especially when using the elevation of the hammock to assist in curls, crunches, lunges and just about any workout possible.
I had a ridiculous amount of fun with Tori and Fay as we twisted and turned in all sorts of positions. We started off “trusting” the hammock by working our bodies around it, apparently it’s strong enough to carry a baby elephant! Tori, Fay and I are some of the first in Manila to try it (aside from the instructors, of course) we were the guinea pigs and god it was fun, but I got extremely dizzy due to all the inversions :( Nevertheless, I’d definitely go back because we had soooo many laughs at our fail attempts.
Lessons will start beginning of February somewhere near Tomas Morato!
